Depending on the Service, accepted digital formats may include commonly used formats such as:

  • PDF;
  • EPUB;
  • DOC/DOCX;
  • or another format specified by NYN Reviews.

The required format may vary depending on the Service.

6. Submit the Final Version Whenever Possible

Authors are encouraged to submit the final published version of a book whenever possible.

If you submit a manuscript or draft version, please clearly identify it as such.

NYN Reviews is not responsible for differences between a submitted manuscript and a later published edition unless otherwise agreed.

7. Book Information Must Be Accurate

Authors and publishers are responsible for ensuring that information submitted to NYN Reviews is accurate.

This includes information concerning:

  • author identity;
  • title;
  • publication date;
  • ISBN;
  • publisher;
  • genre;
  • awards;
  • credentials;
  • sales claims;
  • rankings;
  • endorsements;
  • and other factual information.

NYN Reviews may rely on information supplied by the author or publisher when independent verification is not reasonably available.

8. Author Contact Information

When submitting a book or purchasing a Service, you may be asked to provide contact information such as:

  • name;
  • email address;
  • telephone number;
  • and other information necessary to communicate about the Service.

NYN Reviews may use this information for purposes described in its Privacy Policy, including communicating with you about your submission, order, Service, or related requests.

Please do not submit unnecessary personal information belonging to another person.

9. Children's Books

NYN Reviews welcomes submissions involving books intended for children.

However, authors, publishers, parents, guardians, and representatives should avoid submitting unnecessary personal information about children.

If a children's book contains photographs, names, stories, or other identifiable information concerning children, the person submitting the material should ensure that they have the necessary permissions and rights.

NYN Reviews may request additional information where reasonably necessary to address privacy, copyright, or other concerns.

10. Book Submission Does Not Guarantee a Review

Submitting a book does not automatically guarantee that NYN Reviews will publish a review.

NYN Reviews may decline a submission for editorial, operational, legal, technical, or other legitimate reasons.

Submission also does not guarantee:

  • a positive review;
  • a particular rating;
  • publication on a particular date;
  • promotional coverage;
  • social-media promotion;
  • bestseller status;
  • increased sales;
  • or any other commercial result.

11. Purchasing a Review Service

If you purchase a paid review Service, the Service provided will depend on the specific Service description and applicable terms.

Payment for a review Service does not entitle an author to dictate the reviewer's editorial opinion.

Please review the Editorial & Book Review Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy before purchasing.

12. Reviews May Be Positive, Mixed, or Critical

Authors should understand that an editorial review may contain both positive and negative observations.

A review may discuss:

  • strengths;
  • weaknesses;
  • writing style;
  • structure;
  • characterization;
  • pacing;
  • illustrations;
  • themes;
  • readability;
  • originality;
  • educational value;
  • or other relevant characteristics.

Payment does not guarantee praise.

13. No Guaranteed Rating

Authors cannot purchase a predetermined rating.

For example, purchasing a review does not guarantee:

  • five stars;
  • a specific numerical score;
  • a recommendation;
  • a favorable conclusion;
  • or any other predetermined result.

Ratings and conclusions, where used, represent editorial judgment.

14. Promotional Services

NYN Reviews may offer promotional Services separately from editorial review Services.

Promotional Services may include:

  • book features;
  • author interviews;
  • social-media promotion;
  • promotional posts;
  • promotional graphics;
  • videos;
  • publicity;
  • and other marketing-related Services.

Promotional Services are intended to increase visibility or awareness and do not necessarily represent an independent editorial endorsement.

15. Editorial and Promotional Services Are Different

Authors should carefully distinguish between:

Editorial content — content intended to provide a reader-oriented assessment or editorial perspective.

and

Promotional content — content created or distributed as part of a paid promotional or marketing Service.

Purchasing promotional exposure does not automatically guarantee a favorable editorial review.

16. Author Interviews

Where NYN Reviews offers author interviews, the author may be asked to provide responses to interview questions.

Authors should:

  • provide accurate information;
  • answer questions clearly;
  • avoid submitting copyrighted material belonging to third parties without permission;
  • avoid making knowingly false claims;
  • and provide responses within the requested timeframe.

NYN Reviews may edit interview responses for:

  • grammar;
  • spelling;
  • formatting;
  • length;
  • clarity;
  • or Website presentation.

Substantive editing may be performed where reasonably necessary.

17. Book Descriptions

Authors may provide a book description or synopsis.

NYN Reviews may edit the description for:

  • spelling;
  • grammar;
  • formatting;
  • length;
  • readability;
  • and Website style.

Where the description is part of a promotional Service, NYN Reviews may format it according to the requirements of that Service.

18. Book Covers and Images

Authors and publishers may submit:

  • book covers;
  • author photographs;
  • illustrations;
  • promotional graphics;
  • and other visual materials.

By submitting such materials, you represent that you have the necessary rights or permissions to provide them.

You should not submit copyrighted images belonging to another person or organization unless you have permission to use them.

19. Copyright Responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring that the material you submit does not unlawfully infringe the rights of another person or organization.

This includes:

  • manuscripts;
  • excerpts;
  • photographs;
  • illustrations;
  • book covers;
  • quotations;
  • graphics;
  • logos;
  • and other submitted materials.

NYN Reviews may suspend or remove material where a legitimate rights concern is identified.

20. Author Responsibility for Submitted Content

By submitting content, you represent that:

  • you have the necessary rights or authorization;
  • the information you provide is not knowingly false;
  • the material does not unlawfully infringe third-party rights;
  • you are authorized to submit the book;
  • and your submission does not violate applicable law.

21. Confidentiality of Unpublished Books

If you submit an unpublished manuscript, clearly identify it as unpublished.

NYN Reviews will take reasonable measures to protect submitted materials.

However, no internet-based system can guarantee absolute security or confidentiality.

If you require a formal confidentiality agreement before submitting an unpublished manuscript, contact us before submission.

22. Publication Embargoes

If you have a specific publication date or embargo date, tell NYN Reviews before submitting your book.

For example:

“The book may not be publicly discussed before October 1, 2026.”

Where an embargo has been expressly accepted by NYN Reviews, we will make reasonable efforts to respect it.

23. Review Timelines

Estimated delivery timelines may vary depending on:

  • the Service purchased;
  • book length;
  • reviewer availability;
  • submission completeness;
  • revision requests;
  • technical issues;
  • holidays;
  • customer response times;
  • and other operational circumstances.

Any timeframe provided by NYN Reviews should generally be understood as an estimate unless expressly identified as a guaranteed deadline in writing.

24. Delays Caused by Authors

Authors should respond promptly when NYN Reviews requests additional information.

Delays may occur when an author fails to provide:

  • the requested book;
  • required information;
  • corrections;
  • approvals;
  • interview responses;
  • images;
  • or other materials.

NYN Reviews is not responsible for delays caused by incomplete or late submissions.

25. Changes After Submission

If you publish a new edition or substantially change your book after submission, notify NYN Reviews where the change could materially affect the review or associated content.

Examples include:

  • major revisions;
  • new editions;
  • changed title;
  • changed author name;
  • substantial rewriting;
  • changed illustrations;
  • or significant changes to the book's contents.

NYN Reviews may determine whether additional work is required.

26. Factual Corrections

Authors may contact NYN Reviews if they identify an objective factual error in published content.

Please provide:

  1. the exact statement;
  2. the correct information;
  3. supporting evidence where appropriate; and
  4. the URL or location of the relevant content.

We will review legitimate correction requests.

Disagreement with an editorial opinion is not necessarily a factual error.

27. Authors Cannot Require Removal of Criticism

An author may request correction of an objectively incorrect factual statement.

However, an author generally cannot require NYN Reviews to remove legitimate editorial criticism merely because the author disagrees with it.

This includes disagreement concerning:

  • rating;
  • opinion;
  • interpretation;
  • writing quality;
  • pacing;
  • characterization;
  • or other editorial judgments.

28. Spoilers

Authors should inform NYN Reviews if a particular plot detail should be treated as highly sensitive.

Nevertheless, reviews may discuss elements of a book that readers could consider spoilers.

NYN Reviews may decide how much plot information is necessary to explain its editorial assessment.

29. Mature or Sensitive Content

Please identify significant sensitive content where relevant.

This may include:

  • violence;
  • sexual content;
  • strong language;
  • disturbing themes;
  • abuse;
  • substance use;
  • or other mature subjects.

This information may help NYN Reviews determine appropriate presentation and audience considerations.

30. Children's Age Categories

For children's books, authors should provide an accurate intended age range where possible.

For example:

  • 0–3 years;
  • 3–5 years;
  • 5–8 years;
  • 8–12 years;
  • young adult.

These are examples only. NYN Reviews may use different classifications depending on the book.

31. Accessibility Information

Where applicable, authors and publishers may provide information concerning:

  • large-print editions;
  • audiobook editions;
  • accessible digital editions;
  • dyslexia-friendly formatting;
  • accessibility features;
  • or other relevant information.

NYN Reviews may include appropriate accessibility information in book-related content.

32. Awards and Achievements

If your book has received awards, honors, rankings, or other notable recognition, you may provide the relevant information.

Authors should ensure that such claims are accurate.

NYN Reviews may request evidence for significant claims before publishing them.

33. Bestseller and Sales Claims

If you submit claims concerning:

  • bestseller rankings;
  • sales numbers;
  • chart positions;
  • reader numbers;
  • or other commercial achievements,

please ensure that the information is accurate and not misleading.

NYN Reviews may decline to publish claims that cannot reasonably be substantiated.

34. Reviews From Other Publications

Authors may provide existing reviews or endorsements for informational purposes.

However, authors should not submit copyrighted reviews for republication unless they have permission.

NYN Reviews may independently decide whether to reference or mention third-party reviews.

35. Endorsements and Testimonials

Authors may provide endorsements or testimonials associated with their books.

You are responsible for ensuring that:

  • the endorsement is genuine;
  • the person providing it has authorized its use;
  • and the statement is not misleading.

NYN Reviews may edit or decline to publish endorsements that raise authenticity or legal concerns.

36. AI-Generated Content

Authors should disclose relevant information if requested concerning material generated or substantially assisted by artificial intelligence.

NYN Reviews may establish additional requirements for AI-generated:

  • manuscripts;
  • illustrations;
  • promotional materials;
  • author biographies;
  • or other submitted content.

Use of AI does not automatically determine whether a book will be accepted or reviewed.

37. Plagiarism and Unlawful Content

NYN Reviews may decline to publish or promote books or materials where there are credible concerns regarding:

  • plagiarism;
  • copyright infringement;
  • fraud;
  • fabricated claims;
  • identity misrepresentation;
  • or other unlawful conduct.

Where appropriate, we may request clarification or supporting documentation.

38. Conflicts of Interest

Authors should disclose any relationship that may be relevant to a particular review or Service where reasonably requested.

NYN Reviews may take steps to manage conflicts of interest, including assigning another reviewer or making an appropriate disclosure.

39. Reviewer Independence

Where a Service involves an editorial review, authors should understand that the reviewer may reach their own conclusions.

Authors may provide factual information about their book but may not dictate the reviewer's editorial opinion.

40. Communication With Reviewers

Unless expressly authorized by NYN Reviews, authors should not attempt to pressure, threaten, bribe, manipulate, or otherwise improperly influence a reviewer.

If you have concerns about a review, contact:

contact@nyncreativestudios.com

We will determine the appropriate process for addressing the concern.

41. Abusive or Threatening Conduct

NYN Reviews expects authors and representatives to communicate professionally.

We may suspend or terminate communications or Services in cases involving:

  • threats;
  • harassment;
  • abusive conduct;
  • discriminatory abuse;
  • intimidation;
  • repeated inappropriate communications;
  • or other serious misconduct.

Any resulting refund will be handled according to the applicable Refund Policy and applicable law.

42. Payment

Where a Service requires payment, payment must be completed through the payment methods made available on the Website.

NYN Reviews may accept card payments through its designated payment-processing systems.

Payment does not automatically guarantee publication, a positive review, or any specific commercial result.

43. Refunds and Cancellations

Refunds and cancellations are governed by the NYN Reviews Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Authors should review that policy before purchasing a Service.

In particular, authors should understand that customized Services may become non-refundable, in whole or in part, once substantial work has begun or the Service has been completed.

44. No Guaranteed Sales

NYN Reviews does not guarantee that submitting a book, receiving a review, or purchasing a promotional Service will result in a specific number of:

  • sales;
  • downloads;
  • readers;
  • reviews;
  • followers;
  • clicks;
  • impressions;
  • or other results,

unless a specific written agreement expressly provides such a guarantee.

45. Publication of Reviews

Published reviews may appear on:

  • the NYN Reviews Website;
  • NYN Reviews social-media channels;
  • promotional materials;
  • newsletters;
  • or other NYN Reviews channels,

where appropriate and permitted by the applicable Service.

Authors should understand that publication on the internet may result in third parties sharing or referencing the content.

46. Search Engines and Third-Party Platforms

Once content is publicly published, search engines and third-party platforms may:

  • index it;
  • cache it;
  • display it;
  • quote it;
  • share it;
  • or otherwise distribute it.

NYN Reviews cannot control every third-party use of publicly available content.

47. Use of Reviews for Author Promotion

Where NYN Reviews grants permission to use a review for promotional purposes, authors must not:

  • materially alter the review;
  • remove context in a misleading manner;
  • falsely imply an endorsement;
  • claim that the reviewer said something they did not say;
  • or present an excerpt in a way that materially changes its meaning.

48. Author Privacy

Information submitted by authors is handled according to the NYN Reviews Privacy Policy.

We may collect information such as:

  • name;
  • email address;
  • telephone number;
  • book information;
